New Grad Engineering

Gaumard Scientific Company, one of the world leaders in health care simulation products, is looking for recently graduated Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Biomedical, and Advanced Systems engineers (recent graduates or graduating seniors) to join the growing team in Miami. Gaumard has manufactured and marketed simulators for health care education for more than 60 years.

C++ Software Engineer

Location: Position to be located in our Miami Office
Gaumard Scientific Company, a world leader in health care simulation products, is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Miami. Gaumard has manufactured and marketed simulators for health care education for more than 60 years.

C++ Software Engineer
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, prototype, integration, and testing of innovative software for our next-generation simulators. The candidate will be motivated, dynamic, and comfortable with a fast-paced small team environment.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Development in C++
  • 3D real time rendering
  • Front end GUI development in C++
  • Communication with hardware peripherals
  • Comprehensive unit testing and profiling
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field
  • 3+ years of product development experience
  • Demonstrated experience in algorithm development and application of image processing, registration, segmentation, etc.
  • Working knowledge of geometry and application experience
  • OpenGL or DirectX, Cg knowledge and development experience.
  • Proficiency in C++ development, parallelization, unit testing, and performance measurement
  • C++ GUI development experience
  • Experience in developing SQLite database application
  • Microsoft Visual Studio development experience
  • Solid software engineering foundation and a commitment to writing high quality code, including clear and understandable design and implementation, well-defined interfaces, ease of build and use & ease of extensibility.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • STRONGLY DESIRED:
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Computer Vision and Image Processing algorithm development experience
  • OpenCV, IPP, CUDA experience
  • Familiarity with data formats, such as STL, OBJ, FBX, etc.
  • Familiarity with serial communication protocol, TCP/IP server/client communication protocol
  • Familiarity with software development tools and methodology

  • Job Description
  • The Technical Support Representative will provide support to end users on a variety of issues. You will identify, research, and resolve technical problems with Gaumard Simulation products. We are looking for full time or 20-25 hours per week. Flexible. We will work with your current school schedule.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Responds to telephone calls, email and other requests for technical support for a variety of medical simulation products
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution
  • Goal oriented with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or coursework towards Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or life science discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
  • Must have problem solving and analytical skills.

Software Engineer

Gaumard Scientific Company, a world leader in health care simulation products, is looking for a Software Engineer to join the growing team in Miami. Gaumard has manufactured and marketed simulators for health care education for more than 60 years.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, prototype and build next generation medical simulation software and hardware programs
  • Work closely with the team to develop and design products
  • Participate in group brainstorming sessions to create novel software applications
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Gaming, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience with C/C++/C#/Objective C or Java
  • Intermediate-level expertise and experience working in Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max
  • Intermediate-level expertise and experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Programming and/or scripting experience
  • Experience with the latest mixed reality hardware (HoloLens, Leap Motion, Vive/Rift/PSVR/Daydream) a plus
  • Amazing attention to detail, self-motivated and collaborative
  • Passion for creating new, innovative, and ground-breaking user experiences
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • STRONGLY DESIRED:
  • User interface and rapid prototyping experience
  • Understanding of computer vision algorithms, spatial mapping, shaders
  • Possess new technology curiosity and a history of self-technical education
