IT Manager

Gaumard Scientific Company, a world leader in health care simulation products, is looking for an IT Manager to join the growing team in Miami, FL. Gaumard has manufactured and marketed simulators for health care education for more than 60 years.

The IT Manager will be responsible for managing enterprise IT assets across hardware, software, peripherals, printers, mobility, and IT infrastructure assets for the facilities. The Specialist will lead a team with planning, acquiring, deploying, managing and auditing. S/he will manage the IT asset portfolio with respect to business performance, risk, cost, and legal compliance. This position requires strategic thinking, strong security acumen, passion for process excellence, strong business partnership and vendor management skills.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee Windows servers and Cisco network Switches.
  • Document and implement new technologies related to installations and upgrades.
  • Plan and coordinate the operation of information systems, services, network facilities and telephone communications within available resources.
  • Assign and assist staff when needed to diagnose and solve computer equipment problems in a timely manner.
  • Stablish IT work policies and procedures.
  • Analyze IT operation data and institute procedural changes where warranted to effect cost reductions through more efficient systems, operations or schedule.
  • Identify opportunities and develop plans for ongoing improvement across IT Asset’s
  • Develop knowledge of industry IT best practices and build industry network to establish benchmarks for managing IT assets
  • Maintain the centralized list of software licenses and hardware inventory.
  • Develop and maintain the annual budget for IT expenses and capital expenditures.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT role; 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience with the following technologies: Cisco, Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2008R2, 2012R2, 2016, Microsoft Active Directory, MS Exchange 2016, SANs, Veeam, MS SQL Server 2008 and 2016, SAPB1, Citrix Virtual Apps and desktops, VMWare.

C.N.C (Computer Numeric Controlled) Machine Operator

Gaumard Scientific Company, a world leader in health care simulation products, is looking for an C.N.C Machine Operator to join the growing team in Miami, FL. Gaumard has manufactured and marketed simulators for health care education for more than 60 years.

The Computer Numeric Controlled Machine (CNC) Operator will be responsible for operating one or more types of CNC MACHINEs. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate and maintains operations on one or more CNC LATHE or MILLING after set-up.
  • Perform tasks using sketches or engineering drawings and verbal or written instructions.
  • Inspect parts produced per inspection checklist at instructed intervals.
  • Maintain all dimensions to required tolerances.
  • Make adjustments to tool wear offsets in order to control feature size(s) of the parts being produced.
  • Program and adjust part programs to achieve best running time.
  • Responsible for achieving production output requirements and accurately reporting output in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work place.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment as instructed by management.
  • Document and report any changes made to the machine setup or program.
  • QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum THREE (3) years experience with Milling and Lathe
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems in a constantly changing environment.
  • Must be able to use and understand all standard measurement tools required in the field.
  • Self starter with ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and extended hours
  • SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Attend to high volume incoming phone calls.

Inventory/Receiving Clerk – Medical Training and Education Products

Location: Position to be located in our Miami Office

Gaumard Scientific, an innovative manufacturer of proprietary medical training and simulation products for more than 60 years, is seeking an Inventory/Receiving Clerk to join our growing team.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Examine shipment content and compare with records such as invoices or orders to verify accuracy.
  • Log amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Remove strapping and wrapping and dispose safely in designated containers or areas.
  • Read shipping order or requisition to determine items to be distributed.
  • Update the product inventory as products are received and added to our inventory.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Handle and pile drums or other supplies being delivered to the port or other departments.
  • Enter purchase orders in the system to generate a dock receipt or shipping slip.
  • Review all shipments for any damages and/or spoiled cargo.
  • Handle return shipments.
  • Package products for return to vendors and prepare RMA paperwork
  • Assemble wooden or cardboard containers.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing.
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
  • Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Insert items into containers.
  • Arrange stock in specified sequence for future necessity of items.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Compile bill of ladings and/or dock receipts from packages received for proper distribution.
  • Operate forklift to move cargo from warehouse staging area as needed.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Technical Documentation Engineer 1

The Technical Documentation Engineer will be responsible for documentation, Bill of Materials, schematics, manufacturing procedures, and production line support to advance technologies in health care education simulators. He/she will liaise between various departments to deliver designs fit for manufacturing, while being able to troubleshoot problems that production technicians encounter.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Documenting, including generating Bill of Materials, schematics, exploded views, manufacturing procedures
  • Supporting production lines through product and component updates
  • Documenting and implementing parts and systems to improve realism, reliability and throughput
  • Developing a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines
  • Documenting, testing and evaluating theoretical designs
  • Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers
  • Ensuring product reliability and manufacturability so that product will perform consistently in specified operating environments
  • Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques
  • Planning and documenting new production processes
  • Producing details of specifications and outline designs
  • Recommending modifications following prototype test results
  • Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly CAD
  • Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints
  • Working with other professionals, within and outside engineering
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Respond to email, phone calls and other requests for techinical support for a variety of medical simulation products
  • Documents, tracks and monitors issue to ensure resolution
  • Training customers via phone, webex or classroom on use of medical simulators
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in BioMedical engineering, nursing or the sciences
  • Experience with workstation software and hardware installation, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Experienced with: Windows 95/98/2000/XP, MS NT server, MS SQL, MS Exchange, MS Outlook, MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Any clinical experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Bilingual english and any other language a plus

Software Engineer

Gaumard Scientific Company, a world leader in health care simulation products, is looking for a Software Engineer to join the growing team in Miami. Gaumard has manufactured and marketed simulators for health care education for more than 60 years.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, prototype and build next generation medical simulation software and hardware programs
  • Work closely with the team to develop and design products
  • Participate in group brainstorming sessions to create novel software applications
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Gaming, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience with C/C++/C#/Objective C or Java
  • Intermediate-level expertise and experience working in Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max
  • Intermediate-level expertise and experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Programming and/or scripting experience
  • Experience with the latest mixed reality hardware (HoloLens, Leap Motion, Vive/Rift/PSVR/Daydream) a plus
  • Amazing attention to detail, self-motivated and collaborative
  • Passion for creating new, innovative, and ground-breaking user experiences
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • STRONGLY DESIRED:
  • User interface and rapid prototyping experience
  • Understanding of computer vision algorithms, spatial mapping, shaders
  • Possess new technology curiosity and a history of self-technical education
